Austin and Sara

These two started their relationship as high school sweethearts and recently were engaged! I tried to convince them that they should put together a slideshow of their whole relationship to play at their wedding...wouldn't you love to see the old homecoming pictures when they were 15 and 16 years old all the way up to these engagement photos?

We met at Lafayette Park in Lafayette Square and it was such a pretty place for engagement photos, especially with all the snow blanketing the ground. Here's a glimpse into some of what we captured...

I'm pretty sure I took a Christmas wreath off this door and forgot to put it back up. Oops.

You can click on this to see that ring bigger!

I think Austin was a little relieved when I led them into this little tiny alley...away from any possible starting eyes :)

Love the color in these ones!

I forgot to mention that Sara's dad filmed most of the engagement session too since they are putting together a video of the whole wedding planning process. I have to say I've never been filmed while shooting before, so Sara, please do NOT send me a copy of that :)

Congratulations!

You know you've had cold weather lately...

...when 20 degrees feels warm! Well, feeling warm might be a bit of an exaggeration, but we at least managed to get a great engagement session for Austin and Sara today!

I meant to only show you this picture in black and white because I know Sara wants black and white for their save-the-date cards. BUT the color is so pretty on this one!

(yes, I just showed you the same picture twice. And I agree that it's annoying when people do that...sorry! :)

Check back this week because I have lots more pictures to share from this weekend's sessions!!

Meet Emma and Owen!

My first time shooting newborn twins! I hope our 4 hour photoshoot wore them out enough that you get a little extra sleep tonight, Mommy and Daddy...you deserve it!

Baby Sam

Water main break near Grace Chapel = school canceled = my husband home very early = Sam's sneak peek ready much sooner than I anticipated!

Little Sam was supposed to be here before Christmas, but no one sent him the message. And so he took his time and arrived 10 days overdue shortly after Christmas! What a cute, little sleepy boy he is! I hope he continues to sleep well to let his mommy rest up! Here's a few from our session yesterday...

(my sister-in-law Katie bought me new newborn props for Christmas! Yay!)

Breanna

I met Breanna and her mommy on a cold, rainy December day. To avoid the rain, we shot undercover at the Muny. Isn't she so cute?! Here are just a few of the shots that I got that day...

2009...a walk of faith.

This journey of starting a photography business has been a true walk of faith for me. I feel truly blessed by God that He has given me this creative outlet and this way to bring joy to others. At the beginning of the last year, I had only done a handful of paid photoshoots and had no idea that the business would take off in the way that it has. I am so thankful to each and every one of you that has entrusted me with your memories and allowed me to be a part of your lives. Thank you to both my clients back in Colorado and here in St. Louis! Here's a small glimpse of my 2009 in photography...
