Last fall, I was able to do shoots for two of my brothers here and here. I am now three for three as I recently took some engagement photos for my oldest brother, Nate, and his fiancee, Daryelle. I'm very happy for you two and hope you love the pictures!
I promise I didn't spray paint this "LOVE" on the wall! It was there! :)
These two started their relationship as high school sweethearts and recently were engaged! I tried to convince them that they should put together a slideshow of their whole relationship to play at their wedding...wouldn't you love to see the old homecoming pictures when they were 15 and 16 years old all the way up to these engagement photos?
We met at Lafayette Park in Lafayette Square and it was such a pretty place for engagement photos, especially with all the snow blanketing the ground. Here's a glimpse into some of what we captured... I'm pretty sure I took a Christmas wreath off this door and forgot to put it back up. Oops. You can click on this to see that ring bigger! I think Austin was a little relieved when I led them into this little tiny alley...away from any possible starting eyes :) Love the color in these ones!
I forgot to mention that Sara's dad filmed most of the engagement session too since they are putting together a video of the whole wedding planning process. I have to say I've never been filmed while shooting before, so Sara, please do NOT send me a copy of that :)
...when 20 degrees feels warm! Well, feeling warm might be a bit of an exaggeration, but we at least managed to get a great engagement session for Austin and Sara today! I meant to only show you this picture in black and white because I know Sara wants black and white for their save-the-date cards. BUT the color is so pretty on this one! (yes, I just showed you the same picture twice. And I agree that it's annoying when people do that...sorry! :)
Check back this week because I have lots more pictures to share from this weekend's sessions!!
So we've had a crazy week here in the Hill household. My husband is the athletic director and 8th grade teacher at his school and they were putting on a basketball tournament this week. He estimated tonight that he was at school about 80 hours this week! So you can imagine how much extra time I had on the computer for editing with my two little men with less help from my other half...um, not so much! My two year old Xavier was actually crying on the way home last night, "Daddy got to go to work, Daddy got to teach the kids..."
The point of all of that was to say, Luke and Bryn, I'm sorry these took so long! :)
These two just got engaged two weeks ago and so after we shot Luke's family's session, we also got some engagement pictures of them! I have to say that I was quite impressed with Luke's proposal and all the thought and planning that went into it. God's blessings to the two of you as you prepare for the wedding and marriage and I hope you love these photos!!
My sister-in-law has been waiting oh-so-patiently, yet oh-so-anxiously, for me to give her a little glimpse of the pictures from their photo shoot on Saturday. I was so mean I wouldn't even let her flip through the images on the back of the camera. Nope, she had to wait for the finished product. And she didn't even complain.
So in reward for her patience, she gets the longest sneak peek ever!
Oh...and to reward Jon for getting pooped on by a pigeon?!
We started at the Arch Grounds and worked our way down the Riverfront, the Landing, and then to City Garden. So that's the other reason this will be long...I have a lot of pictures with a lot of variety. This is SO Jamie! :) Leaf fight!! And this would be the site of the pigeon pooping...actually this after the incident, but it was under that bridge. Can you believe how many photos Jon was in AFTER being pooped on?! Nope...this was not planned or posed! They just happened to randomly make faces at one another. This one is taken through the sculpture shown above. Can you believe this is in the middle of downtown? Check out Citygarden sometime if you've never been there... love their smiles on this one! Hope you liked them!
